Brotherhood

And time passed and the people which the word had created grew in number and multiplied.  At first the word was happy for the people knew it and loved it. They conversed with it and were content to live in the acknowledgement of the word's love. But soon, as is the way of such things, people began to doubt. People began to stray from the light which the word had created finding solace in the dark outside of the light's realm. In the darkness they found the antithesis to the word; it's opposite in every way possible and slowly these few began to preach the ways of the dark to the people of the word. They taught that the word was a lie and claimed that any who still believed in it were fools.  And so more and more people strayed from the word not wanting to be seen as fools by their fellow man.

So, the word was lonely once more; although the few steadfast still believed in the word and worshipped and loved it in their own quiet ways. And the darkness spread and took over, making rules and regulations  laws by which to abide and doing fruel cruel things to any who broke those laws. A brotherhood was formed, a beacon of light within the darkness. The brotherhood was divided into cells, for each city there was one cell and six members to a cell. Each member knew only two other members of his or her cell so that the followers of the word would never be totally compromised. Each member was taught to fight so that one day, as the word had predicted, the world would belong to the light once more.
